The Sarakina Gorge is situated on the southeast side of the Dikti Mountain range. It is one of the many gorges on Crete which can be walked.

Day activity:
The trip starts with the pick up from your hotel by bus to the village of Christos where the four-hour (6 km) walk begins, passing through olive groves and other plantations following the Kriopotamos River ending up in the Sarakina Gorge. With help of special equipment the escort will guide you through the gorge. Lemon and orange trees are full of foliage all year around because of the Cretan climate will provide the necessary cover for a picnic at lunchtime.
