This is a biking vacation on the green islands of Lefkada and Ithaka. The land is covered with pine forests, marquis (dry shrubs), cultivated with olive and cypress groves dotted around. Their coastlines are very indented and largely rocky, with small sandy/shingle coves tucked in amongst the cliffs. Cycling on small village streets in the island’s interior and on coastal roads offering amazing views of the Ionia Sea. There are many opportunities for swimming in the emerald green waters and to enjoy some water sports like sea kayaking, snorkeling or scuba diving.

You can arrive in Lefkada, the starting point of this trip either by direct charter flight (Preveza Airport) or by local transport from Athens (about 5 hours drive).

Day 1: Arrive on Lefkada Island
Upon your arrival in Preveza, the transfer vehicle will take you to the hotel in Vassiliki. A welcome dinner in a local taverna with delicious Greek meze and wine.

Day 2: Northeast Lefkada
In the morning collect the bikes and the guide will brief you on the trip. Start cycling northeast to the traditional village of Karia, crossing various old villages also a stop for a snack and picnic. Visiting the waterfalls of Nidri and continue cycling to the Village of Karia. Overnight in a local pension.

Day 3: Southwest Lefkada
Today, heading southwest of Lefkada, passing the famous beach of Porto Katsiki and a stop for picnic in Cape Ducato. After visiting the old church of Agios Nikolaos and then returning to base in Vassiliki.

Day 4: Water sport activities in Lefkada
This is a free day in order to relax and enjoy different activities such as sea kayaking, diving, trekking, or an excursion for snorkeling.

Day 5: Travel to Ithaka
Today crossing the Ionian channel either by ferry (1 hour) or by inflatable to Ithaka Island. Cycling from the main port of Vathi to Frikes. Return to Vathi for dinner and spend the night on an organised campsite.

Day 6: Explore south Ithaka
Today exploring the south part of Itaka and stops for a swim in magical beaches and explore deserted villages. In the evening, taking the ferry back to Vassiliki for a farewell BBQ dinner and party.

Day 7
Departure day will take you to Preveza Airport for departure.
