A vehicle will follow the group and will always be nearby carrying the bags from place to place (+) tools, first aid supplies, snacks, water, tired riders and more. The nearest medical facility will be an hour away by car at the most. Riding is on paved roads, you do not have to be an expert to join the tour, but it will be better if you have prior experience. You will enjoy it more if you are in good shape, since ¹/³ of the every day mileage is uphill. Of course, if the going gets too tough for you, you can ride in the car.
Day 1
Arrival at the Airport of Chania. Drive to the city of Chania, spend some time in the old town. Transfer to the village of Spilia. Dinner - Introduction to Cretan cuisine.
Day 2
Spilia - Falassarna (total 37 km, 4 km uphill, difficulty 3). Falassapna is an ancient naval town, its walls, house foundations, tombs and a stone throne probably dedicated to Poseidon are still preserved. An ideal place for swimming.
Day 3
Falassarna - Chrisoskalitissa (total 45 km, 17 km uphill, difficulty 3). Chrisoskalitissa: Overnight stay in a old monastery built on top of a rock 35m high.
Day 4
Chrisoskalitissa - Paleochora (total 44 km, 7 km uphill, difficulty 3). Paleochora: A beautiful city built beside the Libyan Sea with gorgeous beaches. A town fully developed to accommodate all your needs for a night out...
Day 5
Paleochora - Sougia (total 40 km, 15km uphill, difficulty 3+). Sougia: an ancient city known for its archaeological interest and natural beauty, a perfect place to relax.
Day 6
Sougia - Omalos (distance 40 km, difficulty 3 ½) At an altitude of 1,085 m arriving at the town of Omalos built on a plateau of irregular shapes surrounded by steep mountains.
