Location
The Mendi Hotel is set in a magnificent, quiet seaside location on the forest-covered peninsula of Kassandra, Halkidiki, not far from the main tourist centres of the area. Named after the ancient city of Mendi, renowned in antiquity for its exquisite wine, the hotel stands on a 30,000 m² site covered with olive, palm nut and pine trees, overlooking a sandy beach and the deep blue sea. The Mendi Hotel is conveniently located 90 km from Thessaloniki International Airport, 100 km from the bustling capital of northern Greece and just 3 km from the picturesque village of Kalandra.
Accommodation
The hotel has 172 spacious Guestrooms. The ground floor rooms can accommodate 2-4 persons and have a veranda that provides direct access to the gardens. The upper rooms, some with a balcony, look out over the colourful garden and the sea and others with a view of the tree-clad mountain. The hotel Suite, with a balcony and sea view, comprises two bedrooms, a small lounge and a bathroom.

The Mendi offers guests a wide range of facilities. From the veranda of the main restaurant and main bar, guests can not only enjoy a variety of gastronomic delights, but also a marvellous sea view and the fragrance of the garden below. Traditional Greek dishes, fresh fish and good wine while listening to Greek music in the Mendi tavema. Relax with a coffee or drink in the shade of trees at the friendly bar in the garden right next to the pool. The small beach bar has refreshments and drinks for all tastes and moods. Naturally, there are comfortable lounge areas as well as a mini market and souvenir shop.

In addition to an imaginative programme of entertainment and activities, the hotel has an outdoor seawater swimming pool, basketball and tennis courts, beach volley, table tennis, mini golf and billiards. The Mendi also has its own gym with Turkish bath and hydro massage for extra relaxation. Children have their own seawater swimming pool, plus a playground and mini-club. The long sandy beach is a perfect place to relax or have fun with pedaloes, canoes and a variety of water sports.
Conference Facilities
The Mendi Hotel’s Nefeli conference centre is modern, highly functional and well equipped, capable of satisfying all conference needs. The main conference hall has a capacity for 150 persons in theatre style and 122 persons in a classroom layout. In addition, there are three smaller halls which are ideal for business meetings, seminars, product launches and other functions. The conference facilities - which have a separate entrance from the hotel - include a reception area, secretariat and coffee bar. The Nefeli hall is equipped with a overhead/slide projectors, flipcharts, screen, television, tape recorder, wireless microphones, fax machines, photocopiers, telephone connections through the hotel exchange, three interpreter booths, air-conditioning, heating, suitable lighting and has excellent acoustics. |
