“Beneath all clouds the Greeks dreamt the most beautiful dream of life”.
Goethe
People in Greece are connected to their homeland with very strong
bonds. They all speak the same language. All five senses take part in
their communication. Their faces seem to have sprung directly out of
the Ancient and Byzantine times. Mainland and island inhabitants,
faces moulded from the sun and salt; hospitality runs in their veins.
Their table is set with olives, bread, wine, honey and warmth.
Hospitality is not seen as a mere obligation, it is one of their oldest
traditions. These are the Greek people.
It is to these people, under the blue sky, next to the ripple of the Aegean
Sea, to the Metropolis of the ancient world that this journey takes you.
